Garrett Hedlund will star in Disney's Tron (1982) sequel due for release in 2011. Hedlund will play a man who finds himself pulled into the world of a computer and retracing the steps of a character from the original movie named Kevin Flynn.
Joseph Kosinski will return to direct along with several familiar faces from the first film including Jeff Bridges (Kevin Flynn) and Bruce Boxleitner (Alan Bradley / Tron). Recent cast additions include Olivia Wilde and Beau Garrett.
Garret Hedlund has appeared in Troy (2004), Friday Night Lights (2004), Four Brothers (2005), Eragon (2006) and Georgia Rules (2007). This will be his first lead role.
